Michael’s journey to find the bridge between mind, body, and spirit started when he was 12 years old when he joined a youth choir. Later, at St. Joseph’s Seminary, Michael studied Shotokan karate and various forms of East Asian meditation, which helped focus his mind and control his body. Eventually, Michael used his knowledge of meditation and multiple martial arts to become a teacher for Kim’s Karate in the early 90s.
Still, Michael sought more. Fueled by the notion that we only use 10% of our brain power, Michael looked into the world of metaphysics, and soon, began to study Qi Gong. This path led him to yoga. After his first class, Michael noticed increased flexibility and circulation, and better posture and alignment. He seeks to combine his Qi Gong and yoga practices in order to further his understanding of mind, body, and spiritual alignment, and to extend his knowledge by working with and training others in the holistic and wellness fields. Michael is a Thai Yoga Bodywork and Reiki practitioner.
Wanakhavi Wakhisi is a Reiki healer, intuitive writer, photographer, videographer and self-proclaimed foodie specializing in vegetarian cuisine. Perhaps the best way to describe him is to say that Wanakhavi likes to have his hands in many pots.Professionally, Wanakhavi Wakhisi has been editing films and videos for organizations such as the History Channel, Smithsonian, PBS, and the American Heart Association (to name a few) for over 10 years. He also gives back to his community by working with nonprofits, spiritual and environmental organizations, and creating videos and photographs that help spread light locally. His love for health, food, and wellness comes across in several of his video and photography creations.
When Wanakhavi isn’t behind a camera, he is often in a kitchen using various herbs and green foods to create stimulating eating experiences. Recently, Wanakhavi spent a year eating only raw foods which allowed him to delve more into the “root” of where food comes from and experience the true intention behind its power.
Wanakhavi, often described as a light worker, uses Reiki energy and intuitive writing to help his friends and clients with everyday issues. Wanakhavi’s motto is “heal a person, heal a generation,” a message given to him from source energy which paved the way for his spiritual journey.
If you are in need of a good photo/video, a class in vegetarian/raw cuisine, or you simply just need a healing session, Wanakhavi is your man. All he asks you to do is come with love and light!
